Chemical Peels

Medium Chemical Peel

A stronger resurfacing peel for pigmentation, acne scarring and fine lines, with a few days of peeling.

What is Medium Chemical Peel?

A medium-depth peel works through the whole epidermis and into the upper dermis, usually using TCA (trichloroacetic acid) or a higher-strength combination formulation. Because it reaches the layer where collagen sits, it addresses concerns a superficial peel cannot: sun damage, melasma and other pigmentation, post-acne scarring and marks, and fine lines. It requires proper skin preparation beforehand and a planned few days of visible peeling.

How does Medium Chemical Peel treatment work?

After cleansing and degreasing, the solution is applied in controlled passes and we assess your skin's response at each stage before going further. The acid causes a precise, superficial injury that triggers your skin's own repair process, new cells replace the damaged ones and fresh collagen and elastin are laid down over the following weeks. Pigment held in the treated layers lifts away with the peeling skin. Depending on your skin type we may prescribe a preparation regime, and antiviral cover if you are prone to cold sores.

What are the benefits of Medium Chemical Peel treatment?

  • Meaningful improvement in sun damage and pigmentation
  • Softens fine lines and crepey texture
  • Improves post-acne marks and shallow scarring
  • Stimulates new collagen for firmer, smoother skin
  • A single treatment gives a visible result, unlike lighter peels
  • Refines pores and gives a clearer, more even complexion
