What is 2 Areas?
A two-area treatment addresses two of the three upper-face regions, usually the frown lines and forehead, or the frown lines and crow's feet. Treating two areas together is often more harmonious than treating one alone, because the muscles of the upper face work as a group and relaxing one can subtly change how the others behave.
How does 2 Areas treatment work?
Botulinum toxin works at the junction between nerve and muscle. It temporarily blocks the chemical signal (acetylcholine) that tells the muscle to contract, so the muscle relaxes and stops folding the skin above it. Once that repeated folding stops, the skin has a chance to recover and existing lines soften. The effect is entirely temporary; nerve signalling gradually restores itself over the following months.
